Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) which includes but are not limited to:
Home Care Aide(s) ONLY provide “light housekeeping” which includes: general tidying up of the rooms (bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen), making beds and changing linens, washing dishes after meals, collecting and disposing of trash, cleaning up spills on the sink or the floor, wiping (countertops, sinks, tubs, shower after use), dusting, vacuuming or sweeping (carpet, rugs, and hard floors), washing, folding, ironing of the clients’ clothes. Conversely, Home Care Aide(s) do NOT provide “professional housekeeping” which include cleaning up after pets, scrubbing and treating (stains, molds, and mildew from surfaces), moving or polishing (furniture, fixtures, and appliances), deep carpet cleaning, washing mirrors or windows, gardening, car wash, cleaning the pool or the balcony, cleaning draperies, washing blinds, sweeping the driveway, and heavy laundry.
